So, the move back to the Home Kitchen is finally behind me. Thankfully.
There’s still, however, a ton of work left to do, all those little jobs that need doing, such as talking to banks and telecom providers, all the fun stuff like that.
I also have a cat that is letting it be known in no uncertain terms that man-papa owes him 20 months worth of fuss and attention, and he expects payment in full, immediately.
No doubt if my bicycle could talk it too would express its extreme displeasure at not having its tubes being on the receiving end of a good, hard pumping for an uncomfortably long period of time.
All this catching up and getting back up to speed does tend to make for long days where come the close of play all you want to do is just sit down and eat something both good and quick. The last thing on your mind is fooling around with complex recipes and long lists of ingredients.
That often means you may be tempted to sacrifice your Paleo principles on the High Altar of Convenience.
Luckily for us, we have the rather wonderful “Green” organic supermarket on our doorstep, and so we splashed out on one of their jolly tasty whole grilled chickens.
All that was needed by way of accompaniment was a few fresh vegetables, and a dead simple olive salad, made up of green olives, onion, fresh basil, lemon juice, and capers.
When you’re in the mood for it, there’s nothing quite as satisfying as gnawing on a chicken leg, is there….?
